EURO SPORTS MEET 2082 – Day 1 Highlights

The Euro Sports Meet 2082 commenced with great enthusiasm, discipline, and sportsmanship on 23rd Poush at the Assembly Ground. The opening day was marked by a vibrant inauguration ceremony followed by a full schedule of competitive and cultural events involving students from all grades.
Opening Ceremony Highlights
The program formally began with the house-wise formation of students, setting a disciplined and energetic tone for the day. The Master of Ceremony, Ms. Sabina Shrestha, warmly welcomed everyone present.
The ceremony was chaired by Ms. Rohini Pradhan, with esteemed guests from the PTA Executive Committee, including:

- Mr. Pradeep Raj Giri
The event progressed with the National Anthem, followed by the inauguration of the Sports Meet through Panas Lighting, Mangalaacharan, and the School Song, led by Ms. Rohini Pradhan and Mr. Manoj Parajuli.
One of the most memorable moments was the official declaration of the Sports Meet Open, symbolized by pigeon flying accompanied by drum rolls, signifying peace, unity, and fair play.
The Slow March Past, handover of the school flag by the Principal, revelation of the Sports Meet Mascot 2082, lighting of the torch, and oath-taking by the Sports Captain further strengthened the spirit of discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship among students.
Sports and Activities Throughout the Day
Following the opening ceremony, students were dismissed to participate in various sports and co-curricular activities conducted across multiple venues under the supervision of teachers and house in-charges.
Key events of the day included:
- Cricket League and Finals (Grades 4–10) at the Futsal Ground
- Volleyball Matches (Grades 4–10), including league and finals
- Basketball Matches for both boys and girls across multiple grades
- Chess Competitions for Category E students
- Track and Field Events including Long Jump and High Jump
- Tug of War competitions fostering teamwork and strength
- Cultural Performances, including Dance and Instrumental Presentations by different grade groups
Lunch breaks were smoothly managed in scheduled phases, ensuring proper coordination and student comfort.
Award Ceremony and Closing
The day concluded with an Award Ceremony, recognizing the effort, participation, and achievements of students across various events. The closing session reflected the school’s commitment to holistic development through sports, discipline, teamwork, and cultural expression.
