Grade 8, Sci Lab Class, AConcepts of Convection and Atmospheric Pressure
Our Grade 8 students explored the fascinating concepts of convection and atmospheric pressure ๐ฌ๏ธ through hands-on experiments ๐งช.
By adding colour ๐จ to hot and cold water, they clearly observed the upward movement of warm water โจ๏ธ and the downward movement of cool water โ๏ธ. Using smoke from an incense stick ๐ฏ๏ธ, they saw how air moves in a circular path ๐.
They also learned about atmospheric pressure ๐ in action! A fun and exciting demonstration showed how a boiled egg ๐ฅ gets pushed inside a conical flask ๐งด due to air pressure, proving that the air around us exerts force even though we cannot see it ๐.
A day full of curiosity ๐ค, observation ๐, and discovery โ where science truly came alive!
